İzzet Keribar


Izzet Keribar, born in Istanbul in 1936, have been interested in photography since his early youth ages and developed his technique and gained experience by taking photographs full time when stationed in Korea while serving in the military in 1957.

After a lengthy hiatus, he returned to photography in 1980. Since then, he has been organizing domestic and international photography tours and producing photographs.

Izzet Keribar is an honorary member of Istanbul Photography and Cinematography Amateurs Club (IFSAK). He was honored by The International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) with the distinctive titles of “Artist of FIAP” (AFIAP) and “Excellence of FIAP” (EFIAP) in 1985 and 1988 respectively. Keribar, who has opened many exhibitions and carried out slide shows locally and internationally since 1985, presently lectures in photography courses at IFSAK.

In 1991, He had the honor of being awarded the “Chevalier of Academic Achievements” title by the French Ministry of Culture in recognition of his contributions and efforts at the French Cultural
